The active workforce employed as of 31.12.2024 sums up at 2.279 headcounts, of which 2.215 (97%) employees who have permanent contract and 64 (3%) with fixed-term contract. The employees with research funds are 36.
As of December 31, 2024, the average age of the workforce is 52 years, for both men (1267) and women (948).
Having regard to the workforce (with permanent contract) distribution, we can note a major focus in the technical-scientific departments with 1.954 (88%) units.
Having regard to the workforce professional background, we can note that majority of workforce has a technical-scientific background, with 1.454 (69%) units between researchers and technicians (including managers), spread among the different levels, 582 (22%) technical assistants and operators, and remaining 179 (9%) units employed as administrative officers, assistants and operators.
Having regard to the distribution of the workforce by education, we note that 67% (1.488) of the workforce has a university degree (bachelor or master), of which 27% (397) has a PhD.
Deep diving into the data further, we can note that 82% (1.220) has an education in engineering, scientific, health sciences and 18% (268) has an education in social or liberal arts.
Referring to the workforce with a diploma background, it sums up to 31% (679) units, of which 368 (54%) with technical diplomas and 311 (46%) back office. Workforce with lower education (without diploma) counts to 48 units (2%).
