Innovation: ENEA-IEG agreement for circular economy, energy and sustainable mobility


Focus on the upcoming Ecomondo exhibition in Rimini from 5 to 8 November

Federico Testa, President of ENEA, and Lorenzo Cagnoni, President of the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), have signed a three-year collaboration agreement for the circular economy, renewable sources, sustainable mobility, smart cities and other possible sectors of interest. In particular, ENEA will provide support to IEG in the definition of innovative technical contents, transfer of innovation, promotion of sustainability issues, training and professional updating for industries, SMEs and operators and information and communication activities.

"This agreement is part of our mission as National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, to support the national production system, public administration, and territories to strengthen competitiveness and growth" the President of ENEA Federico Testa said. "As ENEA - he continued - we can significantly contribute with solutions, services, best practices and strategies for technological innovation, with particular reference to the green & circular economy, sustainable mobility, renewable sources, in line with the European strategy of sustainable economic development ".

"The agreement - said Lorenzo Cagnoni, President of the IEG - renews and extends the previous agreement as part of Ecomondo - Key Energy, an international reference platform for companies and operators in the environmental, energy and energy efficiency sectors. The collaboration will concern, in particular, the next edition of Ecomondo, which will take place from 5 to 8 November at the Rimini exhibition center.

Ecomondo is the leading European exhibition for the circular economy, an incubator of innovation for companies towards the new business model. For the 2019 edition 1300 exhibitors from 30 countries and visitors from 150 countries are expected and 150 seminars with 1000 speakers are scheduled, Key Energy for renewable energy and the three-year Ecological Vehicle Show Sal.Ve will be held simultaneously, ".

On the occasion, ENEA will make available its Knowledge Exchange Officers (KEO), researchers specialized in the transfer of innovative solutions to businesses and illustrate the services provided by the Knowledge Exchange Program developed in collaboration with CNA, Confapi, Confartigianato, Confindustria and Unioncamere.

ENEA is the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development.
