The Class1 project is an EU-supported project under the CONCERTO programme. A CONCERTO project combines:

• Energy savings and renewable energy
• Research, development and demonstration
• Participation from various countries
• Education and dissemination

More in particular, Class1 project is focused on the optimization of sustainable energy systems in local communities, through an innovative integration of Renewable Energy technologies with ultra low-energy buildings. The primary objective of Class1 was the realization of a very efficient new-built site in a Danish Municipality (Egedal).

ENEA, as a Work Package leader, has participated in the project in strong coordination with other 18 European Countries, putting his expertise and experience in the field of energy efficiency at the service of the project activities. ENEA’s contribution has covered all the phases of the activities, starting with supporting the design phase and ending with the monitored data analysis.
