School buildings across Mediterranean countries are numerous and often are some of the most energy consuming public buildings. In this regard, it is very important to support the entities and the people who are responsible for the management of these buildings to understand that making them energy efficient is not an option; instead it is a need posed by the current environmental situation and the European policies. In particular, existing buildings’ renovation is a key priority within the new EU Green Deal, which calls for a “Renovation Wave” so as to accelerate the achievement of strategic EU targets, also supporting towards the recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the above context, the webinar focuses on the school buildings and brings together experts from Mediterranean countries to present their knowledge and experiences in energy renovation and management of school buildings through the implementation of several Interreg MED projects under Efficient Buildings Community and beyond. ENEA will present the TEESCHOOLS project.
