SIMBA Consortium Meeting

The 5th consortium meeting, organized by ENEA, will be held on 18th and 19th October in hybrid form: in person in Rome at Villa Lubin, under the patronage of CNEL, and online. The meeting represents a great opportunity for partners to provide updates on work carried out to date, and also to plan next steps, to make SIMBA ambition fully successful.

SIMBA (Sustainable Innovation of Microbiome Applications in Food System) is a European innovation project, funded through Horizon 2020, which provides a holistic and innovative approach to the development of microbial solutions to increase food and nutrition security. The main objective of SIMBA project is to harness complex microbiome structure and function, related to marine and terrestrial food chains, to promote the sustainability of microbial innovations of the food system.

WP2 leader will present the work going on to improve productivity, quality and sustainability of food chains using the plant probiotics developed within the SIMBA project https://www.mdpi.com/2076-2607/9/2/426.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement N° 818431.
