VIII International Symposium on Artichoke, Cardoon and their Wild Relatives
An international symposium has being organized in Viterbo (Italy) by Tuscia University and ENEA under the auspices of ISHS and Italian Minister of the Agriculture Policies, Food and Forestry (MiPAAF) and with the sponsorship of private institutions such as NUNHEMS, VITRO PLANT, MERISTEMA, SEMIORTO Sementi. The aim of this symposium consists in establishing international networks on the preservation and management of genetic resources in the Cynara genus. The symposium deals with oral and poster contributions covering the following topics:
1. Biodiversity, genetic resources and utilization
2. Genetics, breeding and seed production
3. Crop management: water, nutrient, diseases and pests
4. Crop management: production technology
5. Post-harvest and production quality

The symposium deals with oral and poster contributions covering the following topics:

The workshop will be attended by experts coming from 16 countries, operators and representatives of seed and food manufactory companies involved in globe artichoke and cardoon activities.
